Whilst Microsoft was gearing up for the release of Windows 95, it was facing legal challenges as 50 states in the US filed consumer fraud charges. It was the beginning of a long line of legal challenges against Microsoft’s monopoly and anti-competitive behaviour. In other news, IBM and Lotus merged and Intel released a 133MHz Pentium processor.
