It was 1997 and Microsoft still had big plans for Windows 95. Its latest was the integration of Internet Explorer 4.0 which would make Windows 95 the first operating system to have web browsing capabilities built directly into its desktop. It might not have been a complete success, but it paved the way for many web-enabled features we now take for granted in our operating systems.
