The Windows 7 House Party hilarity continues, with Microsoft unveiling the details on the parties they want people to invite their friends and family round to endure- sorry, enjoy on the eve of Windows 7′s triumphant arrival in stores. And oh, it’s a doozie. From the incredibly poor quality posters they want everyone to print out, to the utterly awful activities some fool somewhere scripted with a pen squeezed tight in their ivory-towered anus, it’s just disaster after disaster.
Top of the list though is the Windows 7 Trivia, described as ‘a fun activity to keep the party going!’ Wow. That does sound like fun. But here’s something more fun. See if you can tell which of these questions are actually part of the True Or False trivia quiz, and which ones we’ve made up to be snarky. Remember, these parties are aimed at people who don’t know how to use Windows 7.
Your time starts… now…
1. The Microsoft symbol on the New York stock exchange is LSMFT.
2. The Microsoft Pretzel Hunt is an annual pretzel hunt held at the Redmond campus.
3. One of Microsoft’s logos in the early 1980’s was named “the Blibbit”.
4. Microsoft is exploring building an elevator to space.
5. Microsoft reduced its non-compost trash output by 50% in all cafeterias on its corporate campus by adding compost bins and replacing eating utensils with biodegradable alternatives.
Got that?
Okay. The answers are: they’re all actual trivia questions from this, the stupidest trivia quiz written at any point in the whole of human history, and also ever. And in case you’re wondering, no! Microsoft doesn’t have an yearly Pretzel Hunt. It has a yearly Puzzle Hunt instead. Oh, those wacky japesters! And the cafe doesn’t use forks, it has third-world orphans specially flown in to chew the food and drop it into employees’ mouths, just because Microsoft is that rich.
Yet apparently, not rich enough to throw a party for actual humans.
We can’t wait to see the goodie bags…
